Lisa HoustoN

I have an enduring passion for chemistry and communicating its impact on society and the world. I joined the American Chemical Society as a member nearly 30 years ago and have been an active volunteer for more than 25 years at all levels including Local Sections, Divisions, Regional Meetings and National Committees. I am also a strong advocate of chemical enterprise who has lived, studied, worked, and volunteered in the District IV area for my entire life.

I am honored to have been elected as the District IV Director.  I pledge to put all my energy, enthusiasm, and experience into keeping the ACS strong by increasing membership, supporting the growth of local, regional, and international groups within the ACS, and emphasizing the importance of science advocacy in building a better society today, and for the future.
